Parelli Clinic in the Ottawa area in OCTOBER - Stage Parelli dans la région d'Ottawa en OCTOBRE
Clinic will be held at a beautiful 260 acre facility one hour outside Ottawa. Our host is Caroline Foster, a long time Parelli student and Natural Horsemanship enthusiast.
Advance your partnership and move towards excellence!
This is the perfect clinic for those of you who are already playing at Level 2 on the ground and need help getting over the hump into Level 3 and getting confident about Freestyle riding.
In this clinic the emphasis is on confidence and fun, on advancing your communication online, on learning to be in harmony with your horse and getting your partner to be in harmony with you. You will learn more about Horsenality and we will be emphasizing Freestyle Patterns and Carrot Stick Riding. Time spent in the clinic will be 1/2 groundwork and 1/2 riding each day, as long as both the human and horse are ready.
Location: 679 Kitley Line 4, Jasper ON, K0G 1G0
Onsite camping and accommodation is available.
Professionally prepared food will be served by a Chef friend of the host.
Auditors welcome.

Meet Kara-Lee, my new coordinator!
Growing up in an urban family that didn’t quite share her passion for animals − and especially horses − her longings to be around animals were rarely satisfied. In order to spend time with her furry friends, Kara-Lee began to volunteer at various therapeutic riding and horse establishments where she continued her involvement and become an Assistant Instructor for therapeutic riding with CANTRA.
By her early thirties Kara-Lee plucked up the courage to follow her heart, set aside her doubts about her “crazy” ideas, and became the caregiver of ‘In Dreams’, a horse that lives five minutes from her house. Nicknamed ‘Buck’ the three year old neighbor became a gift from the universe to Kara-Lee and for the past two years she and her equine partner have been journeying together.
Buck is a left brain introvert and very confident in his own opinions. His strong personality prompted Kara-Lee to follow her instincts and pursue the natural horsemanship approach of Parelli. The concept of learning how to have a partner based relationship with a horse, resonated deeply with Kara-Lee and today she and Buck are avid students of the principles and philosophy of Parelli Natural Horsemanship. Buck teaches Kara-Lee daily how to be a better leader and under his tutelage has assisted in her successful completion of Parelli Level Two Online.
Kara-Lee remains humbled and awed every day of her life by her interactions with these magnificent, patient, and forgiving equine teachers. She wants to spread the word about the transformation between horses and their humans when people use the Parelli principles of Love, Language and Leadership in equal doses.

Feedback on the Ottawa clinic June 25-27th
The Level 1 clinic in Ottawa at the end of June was fun and here are some of the comments from the participants. I thank all who volunteered and helped to organize a great weekend, especially Kara-Lee, who really put in the time and effort to make this event a success!
Kara said, 'I learned so much about patience from Genevieve helping Kris to be confident with the trailer - and her timing of when to ask him and when to stop asking - it was fascinating.'
Karin, who brought a challenging rescue horse with extreme RBI behaviors that she has been helping using Parelli, remarked, 'I had a great time at the clinic. I learned a lot about my horse. We've never had such long play sessions and i think that helped me to see a different side of him. I think he's at a stage now that clinics are needed for us to re-focus and progress. We've been doing Level 1 for quite a while now, and he's generally light in the right state of mind. I think he's a very interesting horse and i love him, but i sometimes wonder if i can help him. It doesn't seem normal for a horse to be so afraid or unhappy with the situation just to "leave". I've never seen anything like it. I just want him to be happy and confident... I was very happy to see the instructor know right away that my horse was an extreme case of left brain introvert. Not a lot of people see that, they see lazy, quiet horse but he can be quite explosive... Oh the figure 8! We hadn't practiced that in so long i was very proud of him when he did it. That was probably one of our biggest and fastest break-throughs.'
Vickie commented - 'I really enjoyed myself and learned a lot. It was great meeting so many like minded individuals and their horses. The trailering lesson was great.'
Keep it natural, looking forward to seeing all of you in the fall!
